Hello and Welcome! My name is Rebecca and I’ve been an avid reader most of my life, so, originally, I was going to reflect on and share passages in the various books I’ve read that have affected me in some way. But media has changed a lot since I first began to read. Now there are podcasts, YouTube videos, and blogs. All of which, I may have something to share. So, I’ve decided to go beyond the book and write about words: words that I’ve read and words that I’ve heard. Because words can make you laugh or make you cry, they can give you pause or spur you to action, but none so powerfully as the Word of God. The Word of God can penetrate the very soul to change one’s entire being. Whether I write about the powerful Word of God or lesser words, if I have something to share it will be on this blog. I hope you enjoy it.
Things have changed around here a bit, since I first wrote the above paragraph. God is taking it and me to a deeper level. Me, because God wants me to start a magazine. This is going to put me on a new footing with words. Prior to this, my relationship with words has been quite passive, as a reader and, sometime, writer on this blog. Now, I have to expand my view to try to orchestrate all of these words into a whole. I don’t know really know how do this. I’ve no experience putting a magazine together, so I’m going to use this blog as a training ground. Hopefully, it will become more cohesive and meaningful.
On top of that, I’ve decided to journal the entire experience in hopes of helping others who God may be calling to start a ministry and who don’t know hot to get it going. I’ve never started one either, but, perhaps, others can learn from how I’m going about it and be encouraged to start their own. If you’re interested in reading about it you can find those posts under the category: Journaling my Ministry Startup.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope I’ve made your day a little better!
May we all experience the love of God. God bless!
